Senator Tom Killion announced a major state grant for the Hershey’s Mill Dam Park in East Goshen Township.
Killion said $380,000 in funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has been awarded to the township. Several enhancements will be made to the park with this grant, including the creation of a fishing pond, a waterfront access area, waterfalls, trails and a parking area.
Killion was a supporter of this East Goshen grant, and he thanked the Wolf administration for releasing the funding.
“I thank Governor Tom Wolf and DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn for providing funding for Hershey’s Mill Dam Park,” said Killion. “It is wonderful that state leaders recognize how important this park is for residents,” he added.
Killion said, “This grant will enable families to enjoy even more outdoor activities in our area, and these park improvements will help maintain the quality of life that has made our region such a wonderful place to live.”
