Killion and Quinn speak with residents at their 2017 senior expo.
Senator Tom Killion (R-9) and Representative Chris Quinn (R-168) will be hosting an expo for older adults in the area.
Their senior expo will take place on Thursday, October 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Penn State University’s Brandywine Campus, located at 25 Yearsley Mill Road, Media. The event is free and open to the public.
This year, a record 70 exhibitors will be at the expo offering assistance and valuable information to seniors. The exhibitors will include state and local agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies.
Attendees will be provided a light lunch, and entertainment and recreational activities will be available at the event. A Rover shuttlebus will be on site to transport attendees from the parking lot to the expo building if necessary.
“This senior expo has become a tremendously popular annual event,” said Killion. “We will again be helping hundreds of residents at this year’s expo. This is a great way to connect older adults to organizations that provide critical services,” he added.
Quinn highlighted how helpful it is to have many senior service providers in one place.
“From public agencies to regional companies providing services to seniors, we will have an unbelievable amount of information under one roof,” said Quinn. “Whether people have questions about healthcare, taxes, government services or free SEPTA rides, you’ll find everything you need at this expo. I urge everyone to attend and learn how we can help,” he added.
