Senator Tom Killion released the following statement regarding the announcement of presumed cases of coronavirus in Pennsylvania:

“My staff and I are closely monitoring the developing situation regarding the first presumed cases of coronavirus in Pennsylvania, including the one in Delaware County,” said Killion. “The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) noted the virus would spread and these new cases are not unexpected. I welcome Gov. Wolf’s disaster declaration and allocation of $20 million to more effectively mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Pennsylvania.

“We’ve shared links to the CDC’s page with constituents via social media, and most importantly, I urge residents to follow the practical advice of the PA Department of Health. Wash your hands, cover your nose or mouth when sneezing or coughing and stay home if you are sick.”
