A record 80 exhibitors will have information and provide assistance and information for seniors at an expo hosted by Senator Tom Killion (R-Chester and Delaware) and Representative Chris Quinn (R-Delaware) on Thursday, October 3rd.
“Our senior expo is a tremendously popular annual event,” said Killion. “1,000 seniors joined us last year and we expect a similar number of attendees on Thursday. This is a great way to connect older adults to organizations that provide valuable services.”
The expo will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Penn State University’s Brandywine Campus, located at 25 Yearsley Mill Road, Media. The exhibitors will include state and local agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.
A light lunch, entertainment and recreational activities will be offered. Rover shuttlebus will be on site to transport attendees from the parking lot to the expo building if necessary.
Quinn highlighted how helpful it is to have many senior service providers in one place.
“From public agencies to regional companies providing services to seniors, we will have an unbelievable amount of information under one roof,” said Quinn. “Whether people have questions about healthcare, taxes, government services or free SEPTA rides, you’ll find everything you need at this expo. I urge everyone to attend and learn how we can help.”
